Description

Painted circa 1968 the portrait features the artist’s eldest son David, his younger son Jason (standing right), and baby Dayan.  Dayan (who would later change his name to Dan) was named after the world-famous Israeli general Moshe Dayan. The child was born during a period when Bratby suspected he was partly Jewish (though there seems to be no evidence to suggest that he was).
