David Rolt mystery portraits

Who are these mysterious people? Painted some time mid 20th century, these ladies, lads and gentleman were all subjects of society portraitist David Rolt, and their portraits were still in his studio when he died in 1985. Is one of them your mum, or your dad, or your auntie, uncle or brother? Can you offer positive ID, a hunch or even a clue?...

Morning glory

A celebration of those languid, informal moments when you’ve just got out of bed. Stan Smith was an artist 24/7, so he could have stayed in bed all day if he wanted to. But what he enjoyed even more was immortalising the loves of his life during that heavenly time of day between just woken up and the practical business of breakfast.

Audacious pieces

We have a wide collection and that includes all things scandalous and scary. See more below for gasp worthy content.
