Plosky, Jonas

About the artist

Born in 1940 Jonas Plosky studied at Hornsey College of Art, then made his living as a designer and illustrator while developing his strong talent as a landscape painter. Many of his landscapes feature the fells, dales and upland, especially of North Wales. But it was also the diversity of his work - reflected in the three very different works we are showing here - that ensured that he attracted attention as a regular contributor to the Royal Academy summer exhibitions and at London galleries. He died in 2011.
