Cook, Kandis
About the artist
For many years an acclaimed set and costume for world famous companies, designer Kandis Cook boldly changed careers to become a painter.
She has recently been heading for East Anglia, where she draws inspiration from the estuary of the River Stour as it gently disgorges into the sea through a subdued landscape of mudflat and marshland.
Kandis’ work as a set and costume designer took her to leading international companies and venues including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, New National Ballet Tokyo, Le Grand Ballet Canadien, Houston Ballet and Australian Ballet. Born in Canada, she now lives and works in London, England.
You can find more about her set design work at her website and the Royal Opera House site
